Behind The Woman

Who is behind the woman you are today?

The woman you are becoming?

Maybe it’s an over 50 thing (though I doubt it) but I find myself thinking a lot about all the people, many of them women, who have stood behind me, walked beside me and sometimes led me along my own healing and growth path.

Do you ever think about them from your lifeline when you look back?

I believe it takes a sisterhood to help a woman step into her personal power and bring her gifts in this world.

The women behind this woman you see here have been unwavering in their belief in me.

They have encouraged me to own my truest self, with some tender and tough love.

Have sat with me through darkness, keeping the embers of light glowing.

Asked questions of me knowing that if I gave it time, I'd find the answers within myself.

They challenged me to reclaim my voice and use it in the world because we knew our ancestors could not.

They have called out my BS, celebrated my growth, and dared me to dream bigger.

Every one of them is a part of the confident, visionary, authentic me that I am today and will continue to grow into. I would not be doing the work I do with women if it were not for those women.

It takes a sisterhood to hold you to the task of being your truest You, even when you don’t know who that is. They know you’ll find her and they know you’ll bring her back home.

To help you see beyond your own shortsighted horizon, or at the very least, walk alongside you as you move toward that greater horizon.

It takes a sisterhood to guide, mentor, uplift, validate, support and level up in this world of ours.

Who is your sisterhood?

How they have helped you step into your true powerful, confident self?

This may be my record shortest blog post ever but I realize that is because I want to leave you with the invitation to ponder and perhaps to celebrate these women who have been a part of your own journey.

To linger in the realization that even if it was one or two women who believed in you, you had and will always have your sisterhood and in truth, never have to do this Living, alone.

Here’s to you and yours, my sisters!

Jenn

I have a sisterhood of women who work with me to deepen their relationships with themselves so they can live their lives confident in their value, beauty and gifts. If you’d like to explore working with me, let’s have a chat. Book a call here.
